Community Race - Physical and Interpersonal

The evening session starts around 2.30 with participants gathering first at Dewan Dato Sidek...They then moved to the Extreme games tower area for further briefing and starting point...they were given instruction on how to wear the harness and straps for the 3 extreme game event ( flying fox, wall climbing and abseiling ).

Briefing : CommunityRace and "Settlement"

Encik Shamsanirul, in-charge of Security and Settlement committee, gave a briefing on how to assemble the tents, the location, safety of personal belongings and all the DOs and DONTs... Encik Nasarudin later took charge on the briefing of the activities on the evening, the community race. En Yusri gave a brief speech on the overall tentatives

At this moment, the total number of student already registered is at 36.

After all the briefing's done, En Shamsanirul led the participants to the camping site to start set-up the tents. Male and female's tent were separated with a red-white tape boundary. All in, there's about 8 tent was used. 4 were for the guys, 2 for each of the JPPs, while the remaining 2 were for the females. It took them for about 45 minute to 1 hour to set the camping site up. Pn Safiza and En Shafiee (both of SPL) were also there to help monitor and guide the participants.

And while the participants busy setting up their "Home" for the next 2 days, En Nasarudin and En Yusri gave a briefing to the Mentor and Jury on their schedule and job requirements at Dewan Dato' Sidek.

The session then, took a break for lunch and Friday prayer. The male participants will be taken to the mosque by KKKL's bus.

Registration and Checking-In

Today all the participants start to arrived at Dewan Dato Sidek...few of the earlier participants couldnt make it...luckily, some of the courses even tried on the very last minute to get replacements (thanks a lot ya all)...the cooperation given by all the staffs and students were extremely marvellous (regardless of what others might think)...Counters was set-up as told, committee members and JPP students were there to supervise and ease the registration even with me arriving a bit late...everything was done with only a few minor hiccups...

Opening Ceremony...

The unofficial opening ceremony was done by the Director of Klang Community College, Hj Shafie Abdul Rahman, while the event being emceed by a last minute appointment, Encik Shafiee Hassan of Kuala Langat's Travelling and Tourism (SPL) programme...

En Shafiee Hassan later took on the centre stage after the Director's speech is over, and start conducting the briefing session with ease, showing composure, talent with his commanding and communicating persona...

What is Mutiara Pilihan ?

The program "Mutiara Pilihan" (MP) was a program initially thought by the Director of Hulu Selangor College Community, En Roslan bin Noordin. The purpose of this program, is to select, the best student, not just in terms of academia, but also their involvement in co-curricullum activities, hence, the winner is supposed to be the best of students. The paperwork for this program has been prepared and later presented by Senior Lecturer DH48 Hulu Selangor College Community, Pn Husnani Idris, in a meeting (ref 1/2010) of all the College Community's Directors within the Selangor's state on 6th January 2010. As a result of this, it is agreed, that this program will be held annually by Community Colleges within Selangor.
